CSL v CSA - Sport Arbitration?

Over the last few weeks, Support Local Soccer has talked about the ongoing issues between the CSL, CSA, and OSA, discussing how this could affect local athletes involved with the Kingston FC team.

The latest news from the Canadian Soccer News is that the CSA has re-affirmed their decision to sever ties with the CSL, leaving them unsanctioned.

The report also states that the CSL has plans to go to the Sport Dispute Resolution of Canada to mediate the issue.
Now, with the Montreal Impact Academy team out of the picture, strictly speaking, the CSL has become a single province league, which would, in theory, allow the OSA to sanction them for the 2013 season.

Whether that happens is another thing entirely. With the CSL's plans to start their season on the final weekend of April this year, it remains to be seen what effect this situation will have on their season and their state of sanctioning.

The Canadian Soccer News goes into further detail at their site.
